Simply stated, the policy and practice of Mathern Insurance Agency is to keep your information strictly confidential at all times, as prescribed by law.

Your information is protected by security measures surrounding our personnel and technology.  We gather information only relevant and necessary to providing you with competitive insurance products and financial services. Your insurance company may see some of your information as part of the application and delivery process.  Nothing beyond that is divulged to the company without your permission.

It is our practice to stringently limit the release of information.  Mathern Insurance Agency shares information only when necessary to enable us to underwrite, issue and administer products and services we provide, and when required by law.  From time to time, we may need to compile and share information with people and entities we do business with in order to provide you with insurance and covered services.  Among those may be:

* Your insurance company underwriter
* Doctors or medical practitioners
* Firms or consultants providing precertification and medical necessity review
* Health insurance and financial services networks and data clearinghouses
* Your bank or banks
* Audit firms who provide claims reiew and repricing services
* Networks through which you receive discounts
* Pharmacies for prescriptions drug discounts
* The Association Group of which you are a member (eg. Citizens for a Sound Economy, et al)   

Because association membership is required of all applicants, you may occasionally receive information from the association to which you belong about services that they or their affiliates offer, or about issues affecting the membership.  We acknowledge it may happen and have made this a part of our privacy policy.

In all our business relationships, we require strict privacy and confidentiality protections.  Occasionally, you may need to share information with our consulting nurses or physicians.   This information is received by us, directly from them.  It doesn't go anywhere else.  We are very diligent about, keeping  such information strictly confidential.  In addition, we'd like you to know, we do not release or sell information to telemarketers, mailing houses or e-commerce Internet marketers.

Should an occasion arise, when an outside party requests us to disclose personal non-public information, about you-for example, to solicit you for one of their products - we would send you a notice and let you know what we propose to do and give you an opportunity to opt out from doing it, as provided by law.  We treat all of the information with respect to former customers in the same manner as we do for current customers.

Other than the disclosures mentioned above, Mathern Insurance Agency does not release your nonpublic personal information to unaffiliated third parties.
